Where we hold records

AssumeCheck only answers for places where we have loaded the public recorded-sale data. Everywhere else we would be guessing, and a guess is worth nothing here. This page lists what we can actually analyse today.

States

New Jersey

458,885
parcels on file

Recorded sales loaded for all 21 counties, so any New Jersey address returns a full estimated report. Built on NJ MOD-IV / SR1A public records.

108 town guides across Bergen, Passaic, Essex counties — the same counties where we offer county-record verification.

Recorded mortgages sit with the County Clerk, except Essex and Hudson which use a Register of Deeds and Mortgages.

Bergen, Passaic and Essex counties

We will not sell a verification we cannot perform. Outside those counties the option is not offered at all, and the report says why on its face rather than leaving you to find out after paying.

Somewhere else?

Outside New Jersey we hold nothing yet. Enter the address on the check page anyway — if we do not hold the parcel we say so plainly, log it, and you are not charged. The addresses people ask for are how we decide what to load next.

We will not list a state here before its records are loaded and its town pages work. A coverage map padded with places we cannot actually answer for is a promise, and we would rather ship the county than advertise it.
